Replaces Alwan Print Verifier
As of March 1st 2022, and after 14 years of loyal services, Alwan Print Verifier will be replaced by Alwan ToolBox.
All APV’s use cases except HiFi mode are now covered by ATB modules.
Alwan ToolBox features
- Interface with the latest and most popular handheld spectrophotometer
- Measure control strip and export measurement to APS (folder, distant volume, ftp, sftp)
- Measure Hydra Chart and export measurement to ACH (folder, distant volume, ftp, sftp)
- Measure or Import mediawedge measurement file for conformance assessment (xml, cgats, txt…)
- Alwan Job Color Ticket (JCT) support (import, add, duplicate, edit, remove, export) and assessment criteria management (Color Aims, TRC Aims, Print Assessment, SCCA)
- Alwan Color Library support (.acb, cgats, txt, svf, xml, mif, cxf/2/3/4, cxf/x-4…) and spot color management (import, add, edit, remove, export)
Commercial terms
The crossgrade path from APV to ATB and the commercial policy are the following:
End-users having purchased APV with an up-to-date APV URTS are entitled to a free cross-grade from APV to ATB with the equivalent features. APV annual URTS fee becomes an annual subscription fee to ATB.
Example:
APV CMYK annual URTS = 150€
Annual subscription fee of ATB for 2022 =150€
Cross-grade cost = 0€
End-users having purchased APV without an up-to-date valid APV URTS are entitled to a paid cross-grade from APV to ATB with the equivalent features. The cross-grade cost will be equal to the missed URTS years cost, maximum payable 3 years.
Example:
APV CMYK URTS = 150€
Number of URTS years not paid = 5
Cross-grade cost : 3 x 150€ = 450€
Annual subscription fee of ATB for 2022 = 150€
Total for cross-grade = 600€
New ATB sales
As of March 1st 2022, ATB will be licensed based on an annual subscription business model. Alwan Price List for 2022 with ATB modules annual subscription fee will be published at this date.
End-users who got ATB packaged with APS or ACH
If APS or ACH package has a valid URTS, ATB will be eligible for upgrades as well, however, the new ATB version license will become annual.
If APS or ACH package does not have a valid URTS, Alwan software package including ATB will continue to run the latest eligible versions without a time limit as usual.
